At The Cackling Hen’s, every item is chosen with care and packed with love. We want you to feel delighted from the moment your order arrives on your doorstep. If something isn’t quite right, we’re here to help — with clear, fair policies that protect both you and our small business.


General Shipping Information

Shipping Area: We currently ship within the United States only, with plans to welcome international customers in the future once our business starts growing (we apologize for the inconvenience).

Processing Time: Orders are typically processed within 3–5 business days.

Shipping Methods: Standard shipping is offered on all orders. Expedited shipping is available for an additional fee.

Shipping Costs: Calculated at checkout based on your location and the weight of your package.

Return & Refund Policy


Return Eligibility & Timeframe

We accept returns within 30 days.  (See Below for specific Information).

Customers have 30 days from the date of delivery to complete the return process. This means the return must be requested, approved, and shipped back within 30 days.

For undamaged items, you must contact us immediately upon receiving your order to begin the return process. Delays in reporting may affect eligibility.

To qualify for a return, items must be:

  • In the same condition you received them

  • Unused and unworn

  • In original, undamaged packaging

  • Free of odors, pet hair, or signs of use

  • Accompanied by proof of purchase

To start a return, email us at hencontact@thecacklinghensporch.com. Items sent back without requesting a return first will not be accepted. All undamaged returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee to help cover the time and materials required to carefully inspect and repackage each item and to keep our boutique standards high.

The return address will be provided once your return is approved.


Return Shipping Costs

  • If the item is not damaged: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

  • If the item arrives damaged or incorrect: We cover return shipping after you send photos and the issue is verified.


Damages & Issues (48‑Hour Reporting Requirement)

Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of:

  • The damaged item

  • The packaging

  • The shipping box

  • The SKU/label (if available)

If the item is damaged, we will replace it if available. If the item is no longer in stock, a refund will be issued instead.

If your return is accepted, we will send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damage reported after 48 hours will not be eligible for replacement or refund.


Non‑Returnable Items

We cannot accept returns on:

  • Seasonal items

  • Clearance or final‑sale items

  • Gift cards

  • Personalized or custom items

  • Any item marked as non‑returnable at the time of purchase

Non‑returnable items — including sale items and seasonal items — are not eligible for refunds.

If you’re unsure whether your item qualifies, we’re happy to help.


Exchanges

The fastest way to exchange an item is to complete a return. Once your return is accepted, you can place a new order for the item you want.


Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll notify you of approval or denial. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 10 business days of receipt of the returned item. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund as well.
